About working here

A small studio building images that get seen at city scale.

Volume Vision is a fully remote ArchViz studio producing stills and commercials for top-tier real-estate developers in the Gulf, Australia and beyond. We work on launches that move on billboards, sales suites and full-page spreads — the frames have to read at fifteen metres and on a 6-inch phone.

Craft is the bar. Every shot goes through internal critique before a client ever sees it. Senior artists defend frame choices in review; the art lead breaks ties. We don't ship anything we'd be uncomfortable signing.

Producers sit between artists and clients — so revisions are filtered, scope is held, and the people making the image stay on the image. Async by default, sync when a launch is on the line.

Section 4 · How we work

The rituals that keep
the work senior.

Five things that don't fit on a careers-page bullet list. The reasons people stay.

01 · Critique culture

Honest review, not committee-by-Slack.

Every shot routes through an internal critique before the client sees it. Reviews are fast, frank, useful — the art lead breaks ties when seniors disagree. You'll defend a frame choice and you'll have your frame defended by people who know what they're looking at.

02 · The producer layer

Revisions filtered before they hit the artist.

Delivery producers own the client relationship — they translate "make it more aspirational" into shot-level direction, push back on out-of-scope asks, and absorb the chatter. Artists work the frame, not the inbox.

03 · Async by default

Calls when they earn it, not on a Tuesday rhythm.

The team spans GMT-3 to GMT+10. Written briefs, recorded walkthroughs, async review threads. We sync on kickoffs, launches, and the shot that's not converging on its own. Calendars stay mostly empty so the calendar can be wrong without breaking the week.

04 · One brief, one owner

Shots have a name on them.

Every shot has one accountable artist and one accountable producer. No floating ownership, no "the team is on it". Pairs ship cleanly; committees ship Frankenfiles.

05 · The brief is the work

We turn down briefs that won't read.

If a project can't be shot at portfolio quality, we say so up front. Sales-tier briefs go to sales-tier pipelines; campaign-tier briefs get the senior team. You won't be asked to render a thirty-shot sales suite at hero-frame quality on a sales-suite budget.

Section 5 · Life at the studio

Behind the frame.

A small remote team, four timezones, one critique channel. The grid below uses recent project frames as stand-ins — these will be replaced with candid BTS once we shoot them. [TBD: 4 real BTS frames — studio meet, artist desk, critique screenshot, render-farm rack]

[TBD: BTS · Studio meet 2025]
[TBD: BTS · Artist desk]
[TBD: BTS · Critique screenshot]
[TBD: BTS · Render-farm / Q4 wrap]
The critiques are fast and honest. Nobody is wasting your week on a frame that was never going to land.

I joined for the work on the reel. I stayed because the producer layer means I get to make images, not field client calls at midnight.

What happens after
you click Enquire.

Five stages. We aim to close the loop inside three weeks from application to offer — the process is built to filter signal, not generate ceremony. [TBD: Roman to confirm stage names & durations]

Stage 01

Application & portfolio review

You fill the Notion form on the role post — name, contact, portfolio link, the basics. We read every portfolio. Applications without portfolio aren't considered.

~5 working days
Stage 02

Intro call

30 minutes with the hiring producer. Where you've worked, what you're looking for, what we're building. Mutual fit, not a quiz.

~30 min · Week 1
Stage 03

Craft conversation

For creative roles, a walkthrough of your reel with the art lead — what you owned, why you made the calls you made. For comms/production roles, a working session on a recent brief.

~60 min · Week 2
Stage 04

Paid trial brief

A small, paid, real-shaped brief. 1-2 days of work, paid at market rate. Demonstrates fit on both sides without anyone donating their week. TBD: confirm trial structure

Don't see your role?
Send the reel anyway.

We open roles when the work calls for them. If your reel is sharper than the listings above, we want to see it. Use the address below — one human reads everything that comes in.
